Traffic congestion in southern India includes trains as part of the wait!

In a bizarre incident in southern India’s Karnataka, a train appeared to be forced to stop as vehicles blocked the railway crossing.

The incident took place at Munnekolala railway gate in Marathahalli area of Bengaluru city on September 25.

Visuals showed the chaotic scene, showing vehicles blocking the tracks and preventing the train from moving forward. The railway gates remained open, adding to the confusion, while vehicles were stuck in heavy congestion.

According to reports, the video went viral on social media, with netizens reacting with humor and disbelief over the sight of a train caught in traffic. Many expressed frustration with the city’s ongoing traffic woes.

However, South Western Railway officials refuted the claims, clarifying that the train did not stop because of traffic. The loco pilot halted the train after hearing a striking sound and initiated a safety inspection. Officials confirmed that the stop was a precautionary measure unrelated to the traffic situation.
