Juice vendor arrested after caught spitting in juice in northern India

A juice vendor from northern India’s Uttar Pradesh has been arrested after a viral video caught him spitting into the juice he was preparing.

The incident took place near the flower market in the Shamli district on September 23.

Visuals showed a man who had set up a juice cart by the roadside and was preparing juice for customers. While making the juice, he repeatedly spat into the mixture. After spitting several times, he strained the juice through a mug, mixing it as if it were a normal part of the process. The entire act was shocking and unhygienic, with the man carrying on casually as people passed by, unaware of what he was doing.

Local authorities, acting swiftly on the matter, arrested the accused vendor from the Sadar Kotwali area after the video was brought to their attention.

The video has not only shocked the local community but has also led to concerns over public health safety. A large number of people gathered near the vendor’s stall to express their anger. The police intervened to prevent further violence at the scene.

In a similarly disturbing event, another juice shop owner in the Loni Border area of Ghaziabad was accused of mixing human urine with juice before serving it to customers. The video of this act has also gone viral, and it has sparked outrage across the region. Some individuals from a particular community who worked at the Ghaziabad shop were reportedly attacked by the public in response to the incident.

Both cases have led to widespread condemnation on social media, with people calling for stricter regulation of street vendors. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm while investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
