Stray dogs attack mother-child duo in southern India: CCTV footage captures terrifying incident

A shocking incident involving stray dogs attacking a woman and her child unfolded in southern India’s Telangana. CCTV footage of the event has circulated widely on social media, prompting concern over the growing number of dog bite cases in the region.

The incident took place in Kashmir Gadda, a locality in the Karimnagar district on September 21.

Visuals showed the woman and her child walking peacefully when they were startled by a barking stray dog. In a moment of panic, the woman picked up her child and attempted to flee but fell in the process. Fortunately, local residents quickly rushed to their aid, scaring off the aggressive dogs and ensuring the safety of both the woman and the child.

This incident highlights an alarming trend, as approximately 30,000 people are bitten by dogs each year in Hyderabad alone, leading to an average of 70 to 90 dog bite cases reported daily. Authorities are being urged to address the increasing threat posed by stray dogs in urban areas.
