SDRF rescues cow stranded at river in northern India

A cow trapped in the middle of a river in northern India’s Uttarakhand was successfully rescued by an SDRF team led by Sub-Inspector Manohar Kanyal.

 

The incident took place at Kund, which is located in the Rudraprayag district on September 20.

Visuals showed the rescuers first carefully tied a rope around the cow that had fallen into the river. With precision and coordination, one group of rescuers stayed near the cow, ensuring the rope was securely fastened, while the rest positioned themselves on the riverbank. Slowly and steadily, they pulled the rope, drawing the cow towards the shore. The team worked in unison, balancing the force to prevent injury, and after a few moments of effort, they successfully brought the cow to the riverbank, completing the rescue operation safely.

 

Vinit Vaibhav, SDRF Constable informed Newslions that in a swift and efficient operation, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rescued a cow stranded in the river near Kund in Rudraprayag district. The district control room informed the SDRF about the trapped cow, prompting immediate action from the rescue team.

 

Led by Sub-Inspector Manohar Kanyal, the SDRF team reached the location and, using ropes, skillfully extracted the cow from the river. The animal was brought to safety and relocated to a secure place. The operation demonstrated the SDRF’s quick response and efficient rescue techniques, ensuring the cow’s safety.
