In a brazen incident in southern India’s Tamil Nadu, armed robbers entered a home and made off with valuable gold jewellery.

The incident took place in Kunnathur town of Coimbatore district on September 13.

Visuals showed two masked men wielding weapons as they searched through cupboards and other belongings in the home. The chaos of the burglary was evident as the robbers rummaged through the property.

According to reports, the burglars escaped with gold jewellery valued at 64 grams. Thangavel, the homeowner, was left in shock and promptly filed a complaint with local police, providing them with the crucial CCTV footage.

Armed with this video evidence, the police launched an investigation and successfully arrested 24-year-old Muniyandi, recovering the stolen jewellery from him. Authorities revealed that Muniyandi confessed to his involvement in the crime. Meanwhile, law enforcement continues to pursue the other suspect still at large.
