Update: Firefighters spring into action as massive blaze engulfs bungalow in western India
In a dramatic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a massive fire erupted at a bungalow, prompting an immediate rescue operation.
The incident took place at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri West area of Mumbai city on September 19.
Visuals showed the bungalow enveloped in thick, black smoke with the surrounding greenery barely visible through the dense haze. Firefighters were seen rushing to the scene, deploying necessary equipment and techniques to combat the blaze. The fire appeared extensive and hazardous.
According to reports, the fire was first reported at 8:57 a.m. and was classified as Level 1 by 9:22 a.m. The Brihanmumbai Corporation (BMC) confirmed that the fire was confined to the ground and first floors of the bungalow. The Mumbai fire brigade, an ambulance, Adani staff, and civic ward officials responded swiftly. No injuries have been reported, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.
