ASI loses temper, tears uniform in a heated altercation at police station in central India
In a dramatic incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, an ASI (Assistant Sub-Inspector) tore his uniform and threw his cap in rage inside a police station.
The incident took place in Baidhan police station of Singrauli district on February 2 and the video is currently going viral.
Visuals showed a tense discussion unfolding in a chamber involving the police in-charge and municipal representatives. Within moments, ASI Mishra, overwhelmed by anger, got up from his chair, tore his uniform, and hurled his cap. His colleagues quickly tried to calm him down as his temper soared, but the situation remained chaotic.
According to reports, ASI Mishra accused BJP leader Arjun Das Gupta’s husband of threatening him with removal from the police force, which led to a sudden spike in his blood pressure, triggering the outburst. Das Gupta denied these claims, asserting that Mishra acted on his own accord and fabricated the allegations. He also mentioned that similar accusations had been made against him by Mishra earlier.
Following the incident, ASI Mishra was hospitalized. The Superintendent of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter, including the leak of the CCTV footage. The episode has raised concerns about the conduct of police officers and the potential interference of political figures in police operations.
