In a rare occurrence, railway workers in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, manually pushed a malfunctioned tower wagon along the tracks after it broke down. The wagon was on its way from Chandpur to Bijnor when it encountered technical issues, forcing employees to physically move it to Bijnor Railway Station.

The incident took place near Nagina Railway Crossing, close to Bijnor Railway Station, in Bijnor district on September 16.

Visuals showed railway employees pushing a stalled train engine down the tracks after it broke down near the Nagina Railway Crossing.

The engine, identified as a tower wagon coming from Chandpur, reportedly broke down on the way to Bijnor Railway Station. With no immediate mechanical solution available, the employees resorted to manually pushing the engine towards the station.

The incident was filmed by a passerby, and the video quickly gained attention online, prompting mixed reactions from viewers. While some praised the employees’ dedication to solving the problem, others raised concerns about the safety protocols in place.

This is not the first time such images have surfaced. In March this year, a similar incident occurred in Amethi, where a DPC train broke down on the tracks. Railway workers were seen pushing the train from the mainline to the loop line in order to clear the tracks.

The authenticity of these viral videos remains unconfirmed by authorities, and as of now, there has been no official statement from the Indian Railways regarding this recent event in Bijnor.
