In a shocking incident in northern India’s Uttarakhand, a roadside building collapsed in a matter of seconds due to continuous torrential rainfall.

The incident took place in Bhingrara village of Champawat district, and the video went viral on September 13.

Visuals showed the moment as the building, standing by the roadside with a mountain and tall trees behind it, crumbled under the force of the rainfall. Onlookers, holding umbrellas, watched in shock as the structure collapsed instantly. The area had been experiencing relentless rainfall, causing the sudden collapse.

According to reports, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several districts in Uttarakhand. In response, the administration has ordered the closure of all schools in Champawat district and advised people to avoid non-essential travel. Residents were also warned to stay away from rivers and drains due to the risk of rising water levels.
