Panic spreads as chemical gas leak engulfs city in western India
In a distressing incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a gas leak from a chemical company’s factory sparked panic among residents.
The incident took place in Ambarnath city on September 12.
Visuals showed roads shrouded in a dense smoky haze, with affected individuals covering their noses and mouths. The haze spread across the city, limiting visibility as far as the eye could see, and even reaching the nearby railway tracks, preventing residents from easily escaping the area.
According to reports, efforts are ongoing to determine and contain the cause of the gas leak. Teams have been deployed to manage the situation, and authorities have advised people to stay indoors as a precaution.
