Flood havoc in northern India as school bus gets trapped in raging waters
In a distressing incident in northern India’s Rajasthan, a school bus got caught in a fierce flood as a drain culvert broke.
The incident took place in Sawai Madhopur district on September 12.

Visuals showed an empty school bus stuck amid powerful floodwaters, highlighting the strength of the current. Concerned locals were seen gathered near the scene, anxiously observing the situation.

According to reports, heavy rains in Sawai Madhopur over the past 24 hours have created flood-like conditions, with rivers and streams spate. The culvert at Latia Nala Bada Rajbagh in the old city collapsed on Thursday morning, sweeping away four people. While a young man was rescued by locals, the other three could not be saved. All were residents of Hammal Mohalla.

Local sources reported that the city bus stand is located near the collapsed culvert, and the ongoing flooding is hampering rescue efforts. Water is flowing into the city with a strong current, and the administration team has struggled to reach the site of the accident, where the Latia drain flows through the middle of the city.
