Frustrated customer sets electric scooter showroom ablaze after heated dispute in southern India
In a dramatic incident in southern India’s Karnataka, a young man torched an electric scooter showroom after a disagreement regarding poor customer support.

The incident took place in Kalaburagi district on September 10.

Visuals showed thick smoke billowing from the shop, with locals gathered at a distance, watching the fire unfold in distress.

According to reports, the accused, Mohammad Nadeem, a 26-year-old mechanic, had purchased an electric scooter for Rs 1.4 lakh just a month ago. Within 1-2 days of purchase, the vehicle developed issues with its battery and sound system. Nadeem made several visits to the showroom to resolve these problems, but he claimed his concerns were ignored. Frustrated, he poured petrol over the premises and set it ablaze. The inferno destroyed six vehicles and the showroom’s computer systems. The damage from the fire is estimated at Rs 8.5 lakh.

A case has been registered, and the accused has been arrested by the police.
