The incident took place at Shahbazpur Dor village in Amroha district on September 8.

Visuals showed as people were returning home from the fair, a speeding car suddenly rammed into the crowd, running over several individuals. The impact caused chaos and panic among the crowd, with people screaming and rushing in different directions to escape the danger. The car, without slowing down, kept plowing through the terrified crowd, leaving many injured. In the midst of the commotion, a few people attempted to chase and catch the car, but the driver managed to flee the scene, speeding away with the vehicle before anyone could apprehend him. The area was left in shock, with bystanders and the injured scattered across the road.

A disturbing incident occurred in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening when the son of a powerful contractor allegedly drove his Thar SUV into a crowd, injuring several people. The incident took place in Shahbazpur Dor village during a local fair known as “Chhadi Ka Mela,” which was attended by many locals, including women and children.

As the fair concluded and people began heading home, a high-speed Thar car, driven recklessly and negligently, plowed through the crowd, causing panic and chaos. According to eyewitness accounts, the driver showed no signs of slowing down and ran over several individuals. As a result, a stampede-like situation ensued, with people scrambling for safety.

The victims include an elderly woman named Kamla Devi and four other villagers: Jitendra, Sachin, Rajesh, and Rahul, all of whom were injured and rushed to the Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.

The entire episode was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media. The visuals have stirred public outrage, leading to calls for stringent action against the accused. Drawing parallels to a similar incident in Lakhimpur Kheri where Ashish Mishra, the son of former Union Minister Ajay Mishra, allegedly drove his car into a group of protesting farmers, killing several, people are demanding ‘Bulldozer Justice’ or even ‘Encounter Justice’ from the Uttar Pradesh government.

Upon being informed about the incident, Amroha’s Circle Officer (CO), Shwetabh Bhaskar, stated that an investigation would be initiated once a formal complaint is received. Meanwhile, the public continues to express its anger and frustration on social media, urging the authorities to take swift and decisive action.
