In a captivating wildlife moment, a tiger was seen hunting a sambar deer in a forest reserve of western India’s Maharashtra.

The incident took place in Nimdela Navegaon zone of Tadoba forest reserve in Chandrapur district on September 9.

Visuals showed the tiger attacking the deer and then sitting proudly on the grass, creating a thrilling spectacle for the tourists. The tiger, seemingly relishing its hunt, provided an awe-inspiring moment in the forest’s wilderness.

According to reports, the Kalwa tigress attacked a sambar that had initially been hunted by the daughter of the Spring tigress. This rare event unfolded during a safari and was filmed by wildlife lovers Kanchan Petkar and Piyush Akare of Deccan Drifts. The tourists were fascinated by the behavior, with some noting that the animal’s actions mirrored human tendencies to take possession of another’s catch.
