In central India’s Chattisgarh, heavy rainfall has caused rivers to overflow, leading to flooding in various areas. Security forces stepped in to assist local residents in crossing dangerous water bodies.

The incident took place in Sukma district and the video went viral on September 7.

Visuals showed a group of people was stranded in a flooded stream, the water rushing dangerously around them. Security forces arrived at the scene and immediately set up a rescue operation. Using strong ropes, they created a safety line across the raging waters. The stranded individuals, one by one, were carefully guided by the rescuers, holding onto the rope for stability as they made their way through the water. The security personnel stood at key points, ensuring everyone crossed safely. The scene was tense but organized, with the rescuers working swiftly to bring the trapped people to safety amid the fast-moving current.

Amid incessant downpours in Sukma rivers in the region have surged, creating perilous conditions for the local population. With several streams and rivers overflowing, transportation has become nearly impossible for many villagers. The situation escalated as swollen water bodies cut off access to key routes.

In response, local security forces quickly mobilized to aid the stranded communities. This timely intervention by the security forces provided much-needed relief to the villagers, who had been stranded due to the relentless rains.
