Youth succumbs to cobra bite while performing stunts in southern India

The incident took place at Desaipet village in the Banswada mandal of Telangana’s Kamareddy district on September 6.
Visuals showed the boy doing feats with the cobra. He held it in his mouth by his fangs as others began filming and taking photographs of him with the most venomous snake. He performed many feats and posed with the snake.
A young man named Shiva lost his life while attempting dangerous stunts with a cobra. On Friday, a six-foot cobra entered the residential area, causing panic among the locals. Shiva, known for handling snakes, was called upon to catch the serpent.
What started as an attempt to remove the snake quickly escalated into a series of reckless stunts. Shiva held the cobra by its fangs and even placed it in his mouth while residents filmed the daring acts for social media. Unbeknownst to Shiva, the highly venomous cobra had bitten him.
Shiva collapsed shortly after the bite. The onlookers, initially unaware of the severity of the situation, rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. His death has raised concerns about the growing trend of performing life-threatening stunts for social media attention.
