Major mishappening averted in northern India as delivery executive plunges into sinkhole on road
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a distressing incident in northern India’s Haryana, a delivery executive narrowly escaped a major accident after his bike fell into a flooded sinkhole.
The incident took place on Basai Road in Gurugram city on September 4.
Visuals showed a deteriorated section of the road filled with muddy rainwater as a JCB attempted to pull the bike out. Concerned bystanders watched the scene as the bike was eventually retrieved. The waterlogged road led to traffic disruptions in the area.
According to reports, the delivery executive was riding his motorcycle when he accidentally rode into the caved-in section of the road and was thrown into the sinkhole. Though he managed to swim to safety, his bike was later retrieved with the help of emergency services. Gurugram had been experiencing heavy rainfall that morning, leading to severe waterlogging and creating traffic chaos throughout the city.
