Heroic! Indian Coast Guard airlifts 33 people amidst devastating floods in western India

In a remarkable rescue operation in western India’s Gujarat, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) successfully airlifted 33 people stranded on rooftops due to severe flooding.

The incident took place in the Kantol region of Porbandar district on August 28.

Visuals showed the area submerged under floodwaters, with continuous heavy rainfall exacerbating the situation. The footage captured two men being safely airlifted by an ICG helicopter, highlighting the challenging conditions faced during the operation.

According to reports, in a series of aerial rescue missions, the Coast Guard deployed its Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) to carry out these life-saving efforts despite adverse weather. The rescued individuals received critical first aid onboard the helicopter before being handed over to the state administration, where they were eventually reunited with their families.
