Outrageous! Teen with his grandmother brutally assaulted by police in central India

The incident took place in the Government Railway Police station of Katni district in October 2023, with the video going viral on August 28.
Visuals showed police officers, including GRP Katni station in-charge Aruna Vahane, mercilessly beating the woman and her grandson after they were brought in on suspicion of theft. The video has sparked widespread outrage, highlighting the brutal treatment by law enforcement.
According to Additional SP Santosh Deheria, the video surfacing on social media groups appears to involve GRP Katni. He added, “We have not received any complaint in this regard, but if a complaint is filed, an investigation will be conducted based on the facts.”
