In a dramatic rescue operation in northern India’s Uttarakhand, a cow trapped in a narrow drain near the Dr. Sushila Tiwari Hospital was successfully saved by the local fire department.
The incident took place in Haldwani city of Nainital district on August 23.
Visuals showed how the cow was rescued with a lot of difficulty using heavy machinery.
According to reports, the cow, believed to have been stuck for several hours, was spotted by passersby who immediately alerted authorities.
The fire department, led by a quick-thinking team, arrived at the scene and faced the challenge of rescuing the injured cow from the tight space. With the help of specialized equipment and the collective effort of the firefighters, the cow was carefully lifted out of the drain.
The incident took place near a major hospital in the city, drawing the attention of locals, many of whom expressed relief and gratitude towards the fire department for their swift action. The cow is currently receiving treatment for its injuries and is expected to recover soon.
