The incident took place in Sector 94, Noida city, and the video went viral on August 22.
Visuals showed the man entering the deep freezer room of the post-mortem house after visiting a tea shop. He found a sanitation worker with a woman there and instructed her to lay something on the ground. The man then left to retrieve a sheet, handed it to the woman, and exited. Upon his return, he discovered the sweeper with the woman in an objectionable position on the ground. Disturbingly, a dead body was also lying on a stretcher in the room during the act.
According to reports, the man involved is a sweeper, and the video was filmed by his associate, who can be heard giving directions. The sweeper, who was transferred to the post-mortem house in June from Dankaur Health Center, is currently on leave. He had previously faced allegations of drinking and urinating in the post-mortem house after duty hours.
The video has raised serious concerns about potential tampering with evidence and misconduct involving bodies at the post-mortem house. The woman seen in the video is reportedly an outsider, as no female staff work in the facility. It is also suspected that the incident might be linked to a prostitution racket operating within the post-mortem premises.
