Tragic! Drunk passenger thrown on railway track in northern India after being assaulted
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a shocking incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a drunken passenger was brutally beaten by fellow travelers and thrown onto the railway tracks.
The incident took place on the Kanpur-Kasganj railway track of Bilhaur district on August 7.
Visuals from the scene show passengers dragging the intoxicated individual to the train door, beating him, and then pushing him out onto the dark tracks. The passenger, who falls onto the tracks, manages to get up and throws stones at the train in retaliation, while passengers quickly close the doors to prevent further confrontation.
According to reports, a violent altercation erupted in the S4 coach of the Kalindi Express traveling from Kanpur to Farrukhabad. The drunk passenger was reportedly causing a disturbance by insisting on occupying a seat and using abusive language. In response, other passengers severely beat him and subsequently threw him under the train, causing him injuries. Enraged, he began pelting stones at the train. The train crew acted swiftly by shutting all doors and windows to maintain safety.
