Disrespectful act: vandalism on wall painting of Bangladesh’s founding father

In a shocking display of disrespect, vandals were recently caught urinating on a wall painting of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the revered founding father and former president of Bangladesh.

The video went viral on August 7.

Visuals showed a group of rioters depicted engaging in disrespectful behavior in front of a large wall painting of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the former president and founding father of Bangladesh. One of the rioters was seen urinating on the mural, showing blatant disregard for the historical and cultural significance of the image. Their actions are depicted with a sense of deliberate provocation, as they are laughing and taking pleasure in their misconduct. The mural, meant to honor Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is marred by their actions, with the once-respected image now tarnished by the indignity inflicted upon it.

Moments after Sheikh Hasina fleeing from the country became public knowledge, protesters stormed into the official residence of Bangladesh Prime Minister and looted whatever they could find there. The Bangladesh parliament was also taken over by the protesters who caused panic and chaos in the parliament by igniting smoke cannons.
