The incident took place in the 8-mile area of Khanapara of Guwahati city and the video went viral on August 5.
Visuals showed roads getting overflowed with water which has turned fully brown making it extremely difficult for commuters to travel via these routes disrupting major life activities.
According to reports, the downpour has led to waterlogged streets, making transportation difficult and posing a threat to local businesses and homes. Emergency services are on high alert, working to manage the situation and assist affected residents. The flooding highlights the urgent need for improved drainage systems to cope with such extreme weather events.
