Woman groped during morning walk in southern India; suspect arrested
In a disturbing incident caught on CCTV, a woman was groped during her morning walk by an unidentified man in southern India’s Karnataka. The accused, a cab driver, has been arrested following the woman’s complaint and a thorough police investigation.

Visuals showed the woman walking alone when a man in a white shirt approaches her from behind and gropes her. Despite her attempts to escape and her desperate screams for help, the man initially manages to grab her again before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who is identified as a Rajasthani woman, had been waiting for her friend to join her for her usual 5:00 am walk when the assault took place. According to the police, she was waiting in front of a neighbor’s house in a narrow lane when the accused struck.
A case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including assault, sexual harassment, and wrongful restraint. The investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, a cab driver who frequently transported corporate employees from the area. The authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover further details.
