A young couple in southern India’s Tamil Nadu was arrested after a video of them emerging from the sunroof of a moving car while drinking alcohol went viral on social media.

The incident occurred on GST Road in the suburb of Tambaram, Chennai city and the video went viral on August 4.

Visuals showed how the couple coming out of the sun roof of the car started kissing each other and doing weird things with their hands.

According to reports, the male, identified as 23-year-old Sanjay from Perungudi, is a fifth-year law student at a private college. He was accompanied by his girlfriend, Veena, as they traveled on Tambaram-Palveram GST Road. The viral video showed them enjoying themselves with a bottle of alcohol in hand while leaning out of the car’s sunroof.

Authorities traced the car through its registration number and discovered that while someone else was driving at the time of the stunt, Sanjay later took the wheel under the influence of alcohol. The Thoraipakkam police have charged him with dangerous behavior on a public road and have seized the vehicle.
