In a remarkable rescue operation, the joint efforts of Langasu Police and the Disaster Response and Recovery Force (DDRF) successfully saved a cow that had fallen into a deep ditch in northern India’s Uttarakhand.
The incident took place near the Deoli Bagad bridge of Chamoli district on July 18.

Visuals showed how the cow was lifted with the help of a crane.

According to reports, Abhay Nagwal, a local resident, alerted the Langasu outpost about the cow’s predicament. Responding promptly, outpost in-charge Ajit Kumar coordinated with his team, the DDRF, and the Animal Husbandry Department. They arranged for a crane from Tata Company to aid in the rescue.

After extensive effort, the rescue team managed to lift the cow safely from the ditch. The cow was then transported to Gau Sadan Simli, a local animal shelter. The successful operation received widespread praise from the local community for the team’s dedication and hard work.
