Bear causes panic in village of southern India, successfully rescued by forest officers

In a dramatic incident, a bear entered southern India’s Karnataka, causing widespread panic among the residents. 

 

The incident took place in Tonisigeri village located in Sandur Taluka of Bellary district on July 15.

Visuals showed how the forest officials along with the villagers captured the bear with a net and then took it back to its original habitat.

 

According to reports, Sandur Forest Officers, with the help of local villagers, successfully conducted a rescue operation. The bear, which had caused significant terror, was safely captured and relocated. The operation highlighted the effective coordination between forest officials and the local community in handling wildlife intrusions, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the villagers.
