In a recent incident in northern India’s Rajasthan, two men robbed over INR 51,500 (USD 616.58) from an elderly man named Shambhuram in broad daylight.

The incident took place in Sanchore district on July 9.

Visuals showed the two suspects—Vikram alias Vicky from Sanchore and Bhagwanaram from Karola—approaching Shambhuram and forcefully taking his belongings.

According to reports, Shambhuram, who had come from Jaisalmer to pay dowry, was targeted on the way.

The robbery occurred around 6 PM at the roadways bus stand while Shambhuram was buying goods. The victim mentioned the two boys were observing him as he took out money. They followed him and, near Dr. Babulal’s house, stopped him and demanded money. When Shambhuram refused, they assaulted him. One of the robbers held his hand while the other took INR 51,500 (USD 616.58), his ATM card, Aadhar card, license, and other documents from his pocket before fleeing.

According to Sanchore police station in-charge Hukmaram, a case has been registered based on Shambhuram’s complaint. The police are currently interrogating the suspects and working to recover the stolen amount.
