In a remarkable act of bravery, a police officer in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh rescued a man who had fallen into a drain after getting intoxicated.

The incident took place in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar district, on July 8.
Visuals captured the moment a police officer, supported by colleagues holding a tight rope, descended into the drain. The officer approached the unconscious man, secured him, and guided him toward the rope. The man was pulled out first, followed by the officer, and both emerged safely.

According to the reports, a police spokesperson stated that they received information about an intoxicated man who had fallen into a deep, dirty drain near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Road in an apparent suicide attempt. Sub-Inspector Sohanveer Singh, along with Sub-Inspector (trainee) Navneet Kumar and Head Constable Pradeep Kumar, swiftly responded to the call and rushed to the scene.
