A potentially catastrophic incident was narrowly averted in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, where an excessively buzzing power cable posed a serious risk.

The incident took place near Neelanjana Public School in Lucknow and the video went viral on July 6.

Visuals in a local area, a snapped electric wire was causing a fierce fire, while a heavy and relentless downpour added to the chaos. The broken wire sparked intensely, igniting a substantial blaze that burned with alarming intensity despite the torrential rain.

Residents and authorities near the Kakori substation in Lucknow were alarmed when a high-voltage power cable began emitting dangerous levels of sparks and noise close to Neelanjana Public School.

The incident highlighted significant lapses in safety protocols, raising concerns about public safety in densely populated areas. Prompt intervention by local electricians managed to mitigate the risk, preventing any injuries or damage. Authorities have been urged to investigate the incident thoroughly to prevent future occurrences of such hazards.
