Workers in administration offices struggle amidst heavy rainfall in northern India
July 6, 2024
In a recent incident in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh, workplaces were seen partially submerged in rainwater due to torrential rain that took place in the region.
The incident took place in Una district on July 5.
Visuals showed the workplace transformed into a flood zone. Water surged unexpectedly, akin to a diverted ravine or drain. Despite the challenging conditions, workers persisted in handling crucial tehsil-related tasks amidst the flowing water. Amid this unusual scene, people sat on chairs in the water, preparing applications, while Arjinvis, stamp vendors, and typewriters continued their duties.
According to reports, heavy rains caused widespread disruption in the city, impacting daily routines within a mere 45 minutes. MC Park was also submerged after the rain, with blocked drainage systems exacerbating the overflow onto the streets.
