Rickshaw swept away amidst heavy rainfall and floods in northern India

The incident took place in Kanpur and the video went viral on July 1.
Visuals showed a rickshaw swiftly carried away by turbulent floodwaters, its bright colors contrasting against the murky torrent. Nearby, houses and infrastructure were partially submerged, their lower levels engulfed by the relentless surge. Debris floated alongside as trees and poles strained against the powerful current, highlighting the devastation.
According to reports, the India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in Kanpur on Saturday, June 29. The temperature in Kanpur has been decreasing over the past few days and is expected to drop further following thunderstorms and rain on Saturday. Over the last 24 hours, Kanpur received 80.8 mm of rainfall, marking the highest rainfall of the season so far.
