Wild elephant swept away by river in southern India

In southern India’s Tamil Nadu, a wild elephant found itself in a life-threatening situation.
The incident took place in the Dharmagiri area of Kudalur district, located in the picturesque Nilgiris district on June 28.
Visuals showed the elephant herd crossing the river and one of them getting swept away by the river current unable to keep balance.
According to reports, the elephant was attempting to cross a river when it was suddenly swept away by the strong currents.
