Flight delay leaves 18 Passengers Stranded at northern India airport
Passengers at a northern Indian airport in Uttar Pradesh faced inconvenience as their connecting flight departed without them.
The incident took place at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow on June 25.
Visuals captured passengers in uproar at the airport, demanding answers from flight staff amidst a delayed departure. The scene portrayed chaos and distress as staff worked to resolve the situation, with visibly stressed passengers adding to the tense atmosphere.
According to the reports, Indigo flight 6E 518 operating from Dehradun to Lucknow was delayed due to operational reasons which resulted in some customers missing their connecting flight 6E 7741 from Lucknow to Varanasi.
According to officials, the airline stated that the customers were served refreshments and offered options to travel on the next available flight with hotel accommodation in Lucknow or continuing their journey via surface transport which was promptly arranged at Lucknow.
Reportedly, the flight released an apology statement as well for the inconvenience that the passengers had to go through.
