Barber arrested in northern India for using spit to massage customer’s face

In a startling incident in a city in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a barber used his spit to massage a customer’s face at a local salon. 

The incident took place in Lucknow city on June 11.

Visuals showed the barber spitting on his hand before proceeding to massage the unsuspecting customer’s face.

According to reports health and safety concerns have been heightened due to the incident, especially given the ongoing emphasis on hygiene practices. The Lucknow police have detained the barber, and he is currently facing charges related to public health violations.
