Shocking! Horrific fire engulfs residential building in Kuwait

A massive fire outbreak claimed the lives of 41 Indians residing in a building in Kuwait.
The incident took place in in Mangaf area of southern Ahmadi Governorate on June 12.
Visuals showed a heart-wrenching scenario of the residential building engulfed in flames. Firefighters were immediately reported about the accident and continuous efforts are being made by them to get the situation under control.
According to reports approximately 160 workers resided in the concerned building and 41 Indians have lost their lives while over 50 individuals have been injured and hospitalized.
The fire reportedly had started from a kitchen in the six-storey building.
The external affairs minister S Jaishankar expressed his condolences to the families of affected workers and has claimed that the embassy will extend all needed support and assistance to those affected by the accident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also extended condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for quick recovery of those who have been injured. He stated, “the fire mishap in Kuwait City is saddening. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait is closely monitoring the situation and working with the authorities there to assist the affected.”
