A massive fire broke out at a plastic pipe factory in the industrial area of central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in the industrial area of Pithampur in Dhar district on June 11.

Visuals showed a fire was raging inside a pipe factory, with flames also engulfing the pipes stored outside. Fire tender vehicles and their teams were present at the scene, along with onlookers. Efforts were underway to move the remaining pipes to a safe location. The atmosphere was chaotic and tense, with people rushing around in a state of panic.

A significant fire erupted early Tuesday morning at a plastic pipe manufacturing factory located in Sector 3 of Pithampur’s industrial area in Dhar. The blaze started around 7 AM, and its rapid spread was attributed to the large quantity of plastic pipes stored within the premises.

Eyewitnesses and local residents reported seeing thick smoke visible from up to 10 kilometers away. Alert passersby immediately notified the authorities about the fire. Initial reports indicate that the first shift of workers at the factory begins at 8 AM, which meant that the factory was empty when the fire started.

Emergency response teams were quick to react, with approximately eight fire engines dispatched from Pithampur, Indore, Dhar, and Badnawar to combat the blaze. SP Amit Kumar Mishra and the entire police force were also present at the scene to oversee the situation.

Despite the rapid response, by 10 AM, the fire had intensified, necessitating additional firefighting efforts from nearby companies in the Pithampur area. Firefighters employed water, foam, and sand to control the blaze, with three dump trucks of sand being brought in to aid in the effort.

As of now, the fire has been contained, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation to prevent any further flare-ups.
