Massive fire erupts in northern India’s apartment building; 15 rescued safely
In a dramatic turn of events, a blazing fire engulfed a four-storey apartment building in northern India’s Delhi, posing a grave threat to the lives of its occupants.
The incident took place at Falguni Apartment, Block B, Matiala Extension, Bindapur police station on June 3.
Visuals showed how the police and fire brigade with a lot of effort rescued the people amidst the fire.
Prompt action by the fire brigade averted a potential disaster as they swiftly mobilised to the scene, battling the inferno and orchestrating the safe evacuation of trapped individuals.
The fire, which quickly spiralled out of control, consumed multiple flats within the building, trapping 15 people on the second and first floors. However, the heroic efforts of Station Officer Amit Kumar’s team, aided by specialised trunk ladder vehicles, ensured the successful rescue of all occupants.
DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh confirmed the harrowing incident, highlighting the inclusive nature of the rescue operation which included women and children among those saved. Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries reported as the fire brigade effectively brought the raging flames under control.
