NDRF, fire team successfully rescued a worker trapped under collapsed wall in southern India
Rescue teams from the EVDM, NDRF, and fire services collaborated to free the victim using specialized equipment such as lifting bags and drilling tools in southern India’s Telangana.
The incident took place at Sai Ram Brindavan apartments in VennelaGadda, near Suchitra Circle in Hyderabad on June 3.
Visuals showed after the wall collapse, a worker was trapped under the debris, after which the rescue team with the help of heavy machinery and tools successfully pulled out the worker from the debris and sent him to the hospital.
A retaining wall at Sai Ram Brindavan apartments in VennelaGadda, near Suchitra Circle, collapsed on Monday while repairs were being carried out in the building’s cellar. The incident resulted in a laborer, Bhanoth Reddy, being trapped under the debris, with his lower limbs caught beneath the collapsed wall.
Rescue teams from the EVDM, NDRF, and fire services collaborated to free the victim using specialized equipment such as lifting bags and drilling tools.
The rescue operation lasted for over seven hours by providing vital life support to the trapped worker by administering oxygen and saline. After the successful rescue, the worker was shifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Officials said that he is currently out of danger.
