Monkeys beat the heat by taking over residential swimming pool in eastern India

In response to the intense sun and soaring temperatures, a troop of monkeys made an unexpected splash in a residential society’s swimming pool in eastern India’s West Bengal.

The incident took place at Green Vista Apartment at Sevoke road in Siliguri and the video went viral on June 1.

Visuals showed due to the intense heat and scorching sunlight, a group of monkeys found refuge in the swimming pool of a residential society. Seeking relief from the sweltering weather, they splashed around in the cool water, creating an unusual and amusing sight for the residents.

The monkeys appeared to thoroughly enjoy themselves, swimming and playing, a stark contrast to their typical behaviour.
