Boiler blast triggers massive industrial fire in central India: dozens injured
A catastrophic industrial fire erupted today in central India’s Maharashtra, after a boiler explosion at the Amber Chemical Company.
The incident took place in Dombivli, a suburb of Mumbai , Thane district on May 23.
Visuals showed the black fumes covering the entire area, the fire brigade trying their best to get the fire under control, people panicking and getting away from the scene of accident as soon as possible along with the after effects and damages done by the fire to the place and nearby areas.
The explosion, which occurred in Phase 2 of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area, ignited a massive fire that quickly spread to nearby businesses, including the Main Amudan Company.
The blast and ensuing fire have resulted in at least 35 injuries, with many individuals suffering severe burns and other injuries. Emergency services are on the scene, battling the flames and providing medical care to those affected.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the boiler explosion. Residents are advised to avoid the area as firefighters continue their efforts to contain the blaze.
