Minor brutally beaten for theft in northern India, incident sparks outrage
A shocking incident has emerged from northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, where a minor was subjected to severe physical punishment by local residents.
The incident took place in Mahendra Colony in the Kotwali village of Hardoi district on May 18.
Visuals showed how a minor helplessly restraining while being repeatedly assaulted by a group of individuals. The minor, accused of theft, was tied to a pillar and beaten mercilessly in what is being referred to as a “Talibani punishment.”
Local authorities have begun an investigation into the incident, and several suspects are being questioned. The police have assured the public that those responsible will be held accountable under the law.
