Motorcycle explosion in southern India injures six, including policeman
A motorcycle explosion in southern India’s Telangana left six individuals injured, including a policeman, as they attempted to douse flames emanating from the vehicle.
The incident took place near Mimer Chicken Centre at Moghalpura area of Hyderabad on May 12.
Visuals showed a Bullet motorcycle was engulfed in flames, with people nearby trying to extinguish the fire by pouring water on it.
According to the police, the explosion originated from the fuel tank of a Bullet motorcycle while a couple was riding it. As flames engulfed the vehicle, bystanders rushed to extinguish the fire, leading to the explosion.
The force of the blast caused burns to all six individuals present, with one of them being a police officer. Emergency services promptly responded to the scene, providing medical aid to the injured and transporting them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing, with authorities urging caution and adherence to safety measures when dealing with similar incidents.
