7-year-old critically injured in hit-and-run accident in Karnataka

The incident took place in Baliyoor, near the Manjeshwar area on the Mangaluru border on November 26.
Visuals showed, the child attempting to cross the road when a high-speed motorcycle hit him from behind. The rider fled the scene immediately after the collision. A crowd quickly gathered at the site, and a bus stopped to assist the boy, who appeared to be gravely injured.
According to reports, local residents have voiced their frustration over the prevalence of reckless driving in the area and are urging authorities to take stricter measures to protect pedestrians. The injured boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains critical. Authorities are currently analyzing the CCTV footage to identify the motorcyclist and investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
