6-Year-Old prodigy makes world record in lowest limbo skating over 25 m in western India
Takshvi Vaghani, a six-year-old from Gujarat, western India, has achieved the title of “lowest limbo skating over a 25-meter stretch” in the Guinness World Records (GWR).
The incident took place at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad, on March 10th.
Visuals showed Takshvi effortlessly conquering the challenge with ease by skating beneath a horizontal pole. Takshvi accomplished the Lowest limbo skating over 25 m,16 cm (6.29 in) feat on March 10th this year.
Speaking to Newslions, Takshvi’s mother, Devanshi, proudly shared that Takshvi excels academically, being the top performer in her class, and is advancing to the 1st standard. Despite her young age, skating never impedes Takshvi’s studies. She maintains a disciplined sleep schedule, sleeping at 12:30 am and rising promptly at 6:30 am.
Talking about her daughter’s journey, Devanshi said, “Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to keep our daughter engaged by introducing her to a diverse array of activities. Among these were board games and sports equipment, including a punching bag for boxing and a pair of skates, which we acquired when she was just 3 years old. It was during these times of exploration that we observed her interest in skating. Recognizing her enthusiasm, we made the decision to enroll her in coaching classes when she turned 4 years old. Her coach, astutely observing her abilities, noted her exceptional flexibility in karate and remarkable speed in skating. Intrigued by the potential for synergy between these talents, the coach introduced her to the captivating world of limbo skating. This decision marked the beginning of her journey into the unique discipline of limbo skating, with formal training commencing in May 2023.”
Takshvi has several achievements other than Guinness World Records. She holds the India Book of Records for the lowest level Limbo roller-skating for a distance of 50 m in 17 seconds by swiftly passing under 11 bars (each bar measuring 7.2 inches in height and placed at a distance of 5 m), at the age of 5 years, 8 months, and 4 days, as confirmed on October 10, 2023.
Additionally, she holds the Golden Book of World Records for “limbo skating under most SUV cars.” On Dec 17, 2023, she skillfully crossed under Twenty Two (22) SUV cars while limbo skating, maintaining parallel formation.
The certificate confirming Takshvi’s world record has already been dispatched by Guinness World Records and is on its way, eagerly awaited.
As this sport currently lacks significant prospects in India, Takshvi will be transitioning to swimming or gymnastics as a career path and aspires to participate in the Olympics in either of these disciplines.
