He desperately tried to protect himself, but the dog managed to inflict injuries on his face, lips, and hands. Despite his efforts, the dog bit him before eventually running away. The young man, now injured and shaken, made his way back inside his home, visibly wounded.

The attack, which was captured by CCTV cameras, shows the dog lunging at Ashish’s face while he was on a phone call. Despite his desperate attempts to fend off the animal, Ashish sustained severe injuries to his face, lips, and eyes.

Reports suggest that at least 17 people, including children, women, and students, have fallen victim to similar attacks. Durgesh Mishra, the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Gorakhpur, acknowledged the increasing number of stray dog attacks in various parts of the city. Following the incident, Ashish Yadav was immediately admitted to a local hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
