In a shocking incident in Dhaniyakhedi village near the district headquarters, a massive 15-foot python was spotted by locals after it had swallowed a monkey. The sighting of the large snake sent waves of fear through the community, prompting them to immediately notify the forest department.
Upon receiving the report, a team from the forest department swiftly arrived at the scene. The python, having just consumed the monkey, was unable to move quickly, making it easier for the officials to capture it. The rescue team carefully secured the python in a sack and transported it to the nearby Amrawat forest, where it was safely released back into its natural habitat.
Forest Range Officer Sudhir Patle confirmed the size of the python, noting that it had already eaten before being captured. The quick response and successful rescue operation helped to alleviate the concerns of the villagers.
